Version 68. When I do TOOLS, ACCOUNT SETTINGS (to change POP-IMAP) I cannot get any response from the left-hand menu except "An account with this name already exists. Please enter a different account name." At the bottom of that menu I looked at ACCOUNT ACTIONS, and the first ACTION on the drop down menu was ADD NEW ACCOUNT. It's as if a piece of data got jammed there. Any click on the account setting menu brings a bell and the same error response as above. Please advise if there is a solution to this. Thanks.

I saw the linked thread. I seem to have three identical personalities. (The numbers are mine.)

2)user_pref("mail.account.account1.identities", "id1");
user_pref("mail.account.account1.server", "server1");
user_pref("mail.account.account2.server", "server2");
user_pref("mail.account.account3.identities", "id2");
user_pref("mail.account.account3.server", "server3");
user_pref("mail.account.lastKey", 3);
user_pref("mail.accountmanager.accounts", "account1,account2,account3");

You appear to have three separate accounts, each of which has only one identity (personality). account1 has id1, account3 has id2 and its not clear what id account 2 uses. However mail.identityX (where X is a digit) doesn't appear to specify a account name so it doesn't matter what is specified in your identities (personalities).

Check what mail.server.server1.name , mail.server.server2.name and mail.server.server3.name are set to. They specify the account names. You probably have two of them set to the same string. Change one of the duplicate strings to something unique.
