Well, it's not working with SeaMonkey 2.53.1 because it was introduced to Firefox 65:

For our developers (almost) nothing is impossible but it's hard to say when it will be implemented into SeaMonkey... :-k

webp and av1 is on the radar but not around the corner. We rather take the mozilla patches but for these to apply a few prerequisites still need to go in.

Does Waterfox Classic displays them? Their patches are usually more "mainstream" and applyable.
