Hello, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.2 in mailer, t(he calendar open at right of the window. Each time i launch Seamonkey, tte day name of the week is wrong. We are now May 27 and this is ok. The ONLY wrong display is the day: Lundi (Monday) but we are Mercredi (Wednesday) if i clic on rigth arrow to see tomorow, and then on left arrow to see today, the name becomes all right (Mercredi) Not a big deal but a small "funny" problem. Jean-Charles.

Indeed, I can confirm that, using the latest nightly Build by Bill(tm), I see the exact same weirdness reported by the OP - and there appears to be no confusion in either the [Windows 10 build "2004"] system date/time/timezone settings or in the SeaMonkey calendar settings.
When first running the email client and displaying the "Today" pane, the day of the week always shows as Monday (actually, not always Monday - but some day that is wrong, for sure) - with all other fields being correct - and simply clicking on the "One Day Forward/Backward" controls fixes the display the current day of the week.

Just click middle ("circle") button "Go to Today" and Monday will be changed to present day. It's not about timezone setting in OS and Calendar. It's a bug.

Oh, it for sure is a bug - I trust I didn't give the impression I was arguing the point. OTOH, we do have bigger fish to fry - like getting Mail/News to work at all on the 2.57 builds (I haven't tried for a while, but since I am following the "master" bug tracking the issue, I don't think it is quite there yet).

Fixed in 2.53.5b1 pre. Fix will be in 2.53.4 final too. You need to reinstall the lightning.xpi which comes with SeaMonkey.
Was a missing backport.

OK, thanks, I installed the updated 2.53.5b1pre just now, and then re-installed Lightning 5.8.5 from the SeaMonkey\distribution\extensions folder. Yes, the wrong behavior is gone - the Today pane came up immediately as Sunday the 30th.
