Starting next year, an update every four weeks!

Starting Q1 2020, we plan to ship a major Firefox release every 4 weeks. Firefox ESR release cadence (Extended Support Release for the enterprise) will remain the same. In the years to come, we anticipate a major ESR release every 12 months with 3 months support overlap between new ESR and end-of-life of previous ESR. The next two major ESR releases will be ~June 2020 and ~June 2021.

You can find and crush an enormous amount of bugs in a month but if your just one of the "Look at me I use a nightly so I can be on trend" then why bother

true. i just get the feeling that Mozilla are basically saying " there isnt much more we can add to the browser " so they cut it back to a 4 week release cycle.

Well, might just say that everything they said is utter BS (not even "fake news"), is the total opposite of what they stated.
They throw out drek, knowingly, "because they have a schedule" to adhere to.
What a joke.

Nothing more then a greater power grab, by Mozilla, wrestling even more control away from users.
They have their agenda & it has nothing to do with us.
