Seamonkey spellchecking doesn't work

Seamonkey version (2.49.4) does not find a dictionary. It looks like none was installed with the installer, and a restarting of the installer does not help either. Now installing a dictionary add-on doesn't help either too. What can you do to make the spell checker run again?

What locale installer are you using?
What dictionaries have you installed (looking to install)?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript

I'm using a German Installer fom the Austrian Seamonkey Webpage and also a german dictionary
