Reason: Minor edit for language. ![]() Moving to Mobile forum where the android version of Firefox is best discussed.
Firefox does not have an about:config option to do that.
Any or all of the options below might help. Option #1: In Android: Settings > Apps > Firefox Install unknown apps: Not allowed Option #2: Check UBlock Origin Filter lists and maybe add some more. In Firefox: Hit the 3-dot menu > Add-ons > uBlock Origin > Options The addon NoScript is super, but it requires some management of a whitelist. Option #3: Hit the 3-dot menu > settings > Privacy > Clear private data on exit. If you click the text, instead of the checkbox you can configure what will be deleted. You can clear downloads. Typing about:about is always educational. There is a about:downloads. If you long-press (equals mouse right-click) a file there is an option to delete them. Option #4: If you scroll to the bottom of this bug report, it mentions an addon, "Ask before you Download". https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=849630 If you want to prevent Firefox android from downloading files then change the downloading settings of Firefox in the Settings section.
