All of my searches have failed. Am I remembering incorrectly or can someone refresh my memory?

They did. It auto blocks video with sound from playing until you give permission. In Nighly only for now(I think).

media.autoplay.enabled=true

If you want it to block all video:
media.autoplay.allow-muted;false

Thanks. Good to know that the memory is still working! =D>

Second question. All of the current extensions that I have tried no longer stop YouTube from autoplay or 'play the next' video. Would you happen to know if this new feature deals with that annoyance?

Having horrendous memory issues with webrender enabled. On a fresh startup, with session tabs remembered, total memory across all processes is about 750 MB with webrender off, but about 1.75 GB with webrender on. With webrender on, leaving the browser idle for maybe an hour pushes total memory used up to around 2.5 GB.

I haven't been tracking it, so I don't know if this is a new thing or not, but it didn't seem to be causing the system slowdowns that it now causes at any time a week or more ago.

Anyone else seeing this? Is this normal memory usage for webrender?

So, what were you going to use that memory for while browsing? Memory is there to be used, unused memory is just wasted. If it's noit causing problems, or crashes, or not being released on closing, don't worry about it. I'd rather the memory I have be working rather than sitting around doing nothing.

Not sure. You can try this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -autoplay/

It works 90% of the time. Every once in a while something slips through. I don't know why.
