I am using Windows 10 with new a install of Thunderbird. Thunderbird will not login. I know that the password is correct and the servers are correctly named; i.e. mail.somocowireless.net and smtp.somocowireless.net. The password is correct because Windows mail & Em client both will login and download mail. Any suggestions to remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Defender Security. Incidentally, this computer is a completely new install, it replaced one that died.

Try entering the entire email address for the user name. That seems to have taken care of the problem. Thunderbird now connects.
