Given that this post is made at the forum for CALENDAR, I do not understand your reply (Moving to Calendar forum.), Dan. I'm still in the dark on how to open Thunderbird's EVENTS AND TASKS tab. The options that are listed upon clicking on "Events and Tasks" are unresponsive.

![]() Your post was made to the Thunderbird Support Forum but is now in the Calendar forum because it was moved here as per my post.
Where are you clicking the "Events and Tasks" tab, the Menu Bar, Menu Button or Today Pane?
Events and Tasks in the Today Pane is not a clickable item. Just a heading for the pane. Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5 I am clicking the "Events and Tasks" at the tab on the row directly below Inbox; the row lists File | Edit | View | Go | Message | Events and Tasks | Tools | Help. Clicking on "Events and Tasks" opens a drop-down list with these entries among others:
New Events... New Tasks... Calendar Tasks But none of these entries are operational. Clicking on any of these entries simply shuts down the drop-down list. Norman
Do you have other calendar extensions installed? Try disabling them if you do.
What versions of Thunderbird and Lightning are you using? Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5 I am using Version 52.7.0 (32-bit) of Thunderbird and Version 5.4 of Lightning.

Okay.
Do you have any other calendar extensions installed? Provider for Google Calendar shouldn't cause any problem. Does the problem go away when you disable them? Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
