What may be as or perhaps more critical than the state of WebExtension API's is the fact that, AFAICT, we cannot search AMO for WebExtensions only.

The Photon project (application icon) is a sort of unemployment prevention program,

If you use a compact theme (or select compact density in Customize), the Ublock Origin icon will be pushed into the overflow menu if it is placed next to the hamburger menu icon. Won't happen with normal density.

its been badly handled AFAICT . Mozilla should have had 2 seperate AMO's pages, 1 for Legacy an the other for Webextensions, all you'd have to do is provide a Link to that ( Webextension Page ) in the AMO page now

I just tested firefox without CTR extension after reading about compact density setting...and I am not exactly happy with it.

Is there any method to have even more compact theme than the 'compact' density option in Customize? :(

Unfortunately no.
What's wrong with compact theme ? I mean, yes, with UI customizations there were more options to shrink the UI, but it's still not bad. Much better than with Australis.
Btw, compact theme and others are basically still work in progress.
I filed a bugs for "more compact" buttons, which was quickly fixed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1388457
and also filed a bug for "more compact" bookmarks toolbar - in other words, to follow a Photon specs https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1388794
Right now everything you can do is play with a config pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx but I don't think it's a good idea.

Only with userChrome.css

Learn how to create that file if you're not already familiar with it, the put the following in it:
Code: Select all
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

:root[uidensity=compact] {
  --toolbarbutton-inner-padding: 3px !important;
  --tab-min-height: 23px !important;
}

.tab-content,
.tab-content[pinned] {
  padding: 0 6px !important;
}

.tabs-newtab-button {
  width: 24px !important;
}

:root[uidensity=compact] #urlbar,
:root[uidensity=compact] .searchbar-textbox {
  min-height: 22px !important;
  margin-top: 1px !important;
  margin-bottom: 0 !important;
}

The above is what looks good to me, you can play with the numbers to go even more compact, --toolbarbutton-inner-padding controls button size (the original value for compact density is 5px, I shrunk it down to 3px), the other stuff should be self-explanatory.

No problem here, maybe just take out uBlock Orgin icon and place it again.

Are you ready for deprecation of XUL & XBL & XPCOM extensions? Not?! Try Firefox ESR

Bookmarks Icon is gone in latest build replaced by something called 'Library' which has NO Tooltip so you don't know what it does until you click.
Tooltip will show but only in 'Customize' mode...

There you find:
Bookmarks >
View Pocket List
History >
Synced Tabs >

No way that I to just bring out a separate 'Bookmarks Icon' but there is duplicate 'History functions'.

More work-in-progress or just not thought through ?

@ TheVisitor - I also got my "Bookmarks" button changed to "Library" button, but I replaced it manually to get it back.

How? Did you have to apply a css-hack ?

EDIT: Not enough coffee - found the old Icon.. kept overlooking it, too early in morning yet.

Thanks V<M

It happens when you have "Show the number of blocked requests on the icon" activated, the icon will disappear into the overflow menu when the number appears.

High priority input events should land again tomorrow if all goes well:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1351148
Preffed off but you'll be able to enable them manually.
I am an idiot. Sorry for my poor English. Current list of config tweaks: https://pastebin.com/1dCT4Cvp
