You can start Firefox in Safe mode to check if your problem is caused by an extension or theme (switch to the DEFAULT theme).
If starting in Safe-mode works then disable your extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions or use the option in the Safe-mode window) and re-enable them one by one until you find which one is causing it.
Close and restart Firefox after each change.
See Standard diagnostic - Firefox: Extension issues

Try to rename or delete localstore.rdf in the Profile Folder.
See Corrupt_localstore.rdf
(do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder!)

Note: deleting localstore.rdf will reset the toolbar customizations, so you might first try to rename (e.g. localstore.rdf.sav) to test if that solves it.

Before trying the above complex solutions, you may want to first try launching Firefox in Safe Mode, checking "Reset toolbars and controls", then clicking the Make Changes and Restart button.

So there was a HP related extension in Tools->Addons->Extensions ?

Unfortunately i haven't check that if it was there. I'm told "launching Firefox in Safe Mode, checking "Reset toolbars and controls", then clicking the Make Changes and Restart button"

After the fix, there is no HP related button in the tools>Addons>Extensions

You shouldn't see that malformed HP SWP item in the Customize window.
There is either still a problem with localstore.rdf or you have an extension that is misbehaving.

Which extensions do you see in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions ?

Select "HP Smart Web Printing", then click the Disable button or Uninstall button, then the Restart Firefox button. If the Disable and Uninstall buttons are grayed out, see Cannot uninstall an add-on.

Although HP lists the extension as compatible with Firefox 3.5, I've found several posts that claim otherwise. If you need the extension, you can try the support link on the HP Smart Web Printing page.
