Or at least an addon???

Note, I'm *not* talking about the plethora of articles about vertical tabs, which do stack the tabs along the left edge, but leave them horizontally oriented.

Similar to this:

Other GUI's that I've been contracted to design have done this (at the customer's request) because there's always this need for vertical space on today's monitors.

Yes, I know about making FF full screen, but I think that it would be most comfortable for the tabs to be sideways. They're really not as hard to read as you might think, and these days, we have more space on the side than I want.

Manufacturers seem to want to make all laptops and monitors look like a movie screen.

Thanks in advance!!!

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.

(?)

I'm not talking about a new feature (that exists already), I'm looking for something that isn't a current feature.

There's no current feature to provide feedback on.

No addon for this then? I've searched and searched.

Anyone else know of any?

Something feasible or even easy and yet no pointing in the right direction... Well here it is anyway: It should be possible using one of those vertical tabs add-ons together with some CSS to skin it, either on the UserChrome or on Stylish. This code makes the tabs vertical.
Code: Select all
tab{transform:rotate(90deg)}

And without a add-on someone could code it for you as among the lines of:
Code: Select all
#TabsToolbar{transform:rotate(80deg);
transform-origin: left top 0}

Which can be catastrophic as it is...

Why post to a thread that died in April 2016?
Thanks but, I doubt whether anyone is still interested.
