can anybody explain how DownThemAll (for ex.) was able to break the quantum barrier and have about 450000 users on ff61...
at least according to the stats page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... /?last=365 counts should be average for enabled add-ons in the past two weeks... https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2017/06 ... tatistics/ p.s posted this on Extension Development but it doesn't seem very lively so i'm trying here... Well AMO fiddling stats (up or down to support the party line) is hardly news is it ?
@I'll try to find the related threads from way back. #KeepFightingMichael
Sorry but I am confused. Where on your posted link does it says this? I can't see it. Once it is installed on an old version of Firefox, you don't need to keep your useragent the same anymore so maybe those with a changed user agent are counted as that user agent version.
It also counts if it is a disabled addon, I don't know if those who update from an old FF version where it was already installed would be counted as it is still there just not usable. Such "stats", such details, such telemetry, they're able to come up with.
Unfortunately, they've failed to realize that all their wonderful "data" is meaningless. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript
