Phoenix Technologies (phoenix.com) owns the name. And yes, they actually have a *browser*, so it's quite valid.

How about "Nirvana" or "Navana"? ;) A poem called "The Nirvana of Phoenix" <http://chinese.pku.edu.cn/wenxianzl/classic/classics/057.htm>, by a famous Chinese writer and poet, reminds me of this Buddhism word.
