I did the check for updates from within "Seamonkey", but it is still on 2.49.1 and does not update to 2.49.2.
What now? Download & install.
Backup first. If you want 32-bit, http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/ca ... ned/win32/. (candidate build, not yet release) If you want 64-bit, https://www.wg9s.com/comm-esr/. (unofficial, 3rd party, built with patches from frg) Current Release is 2.49.3, http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/releases/2.49.3/, & is only available as 32-bit (on Windows). Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript
How do I tell if I have 32 or 64 bit installed currently? Is it best to uninstall, then reinstall the new one, or can you just install over it? Same question if you are changing from32 to 64 or 64 to 32. Is anything lost (addons) by going from 2.49.1 to 2.49.2 or 2.49.3? I am guessing the gains/fixes are mostly security and maybe a little speed, yes, no?
About:seamonkey
64 bit has Win64; x64 in it: User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 SeaMonkey/2.53 64 bit is installed in C:\Program Files\SeaMonkey x86 in C:\Program Files (x86)\SeaMonkey Send to -> Mail recepient from the Explorer closes an x64 SeaMonkey. Same for a Thunderbird x64. One of the reasons an x64 build is not available yet.
You need to manually install. https://www.seamonkey-project.org/relea ... key2.49.1/ https://www.seamonkey-project.org/relea ... key2.49.2/ https://www.seamonkey-project.org/relea ... key2.49.3/ On Windows Win64 means 64-bit while WOW64 means it is a 32-bit application on 64-bit Windows. Seamonkey 2.49.4 just came out recently today.
perhaps put this statement in bold letters so OP can see it clearly.
