If you're running Apache (or any other web server) on your system, you'll see your website. That's kinda normal. :-)

BUT if you turn your httpd off - Phoenix tries to find "localhost" at google.com -- and redirects to a provider site - http://www.localhost.net.au :)

Did you mean that or something completely else happens in your Phoenix?

This also occurs when the server is too busy to respond...I think. Phoenix looks up "keyword: http://localhost:xxxx" on google or whatever search engine u have chosen

Oh, BTW marc00s, if you are talking about Phoenix, please post it on the phoenix forums.


In Mozilla, if you are using IIS and go to localhost, it will ask you for a user and pass. IE does not do that. I think you would need to know the IIS admin (user name somethign like IUSER_xyz) user/pass to be able to view in Mozilla.
