Thats the problem !
TabSidebar developer and TabSidebar Reloaded has abended the extension.
Would it be rude of me to search for a developer to support it ?
Is it possible to get the goodies of TabSidebar and combine it with Showcase sidebar ?

I love this tool but one issue makes it much less useful to me. I like to use this to switch between tabs and to find out if I've opened the same tab twice. So I use the find feature all the time. But for this purpose, I only care about find based on Title. Problem is there is no preference to set "Search on Title" as sticky and it does not stay set to Title in subsequent searches.

I believe this is a bug. Can this get fixed please? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Any way to have the tabs ordered in the order in which you accessed them? So the tab that I used last should be on the top of the list?

Hello,

I encountered several bugs with FF53 (2 in sidebar mode : labels with titles too long, and layout corrupted). Does anyone know if the extension will be updated, or if there's another one similar?

Thanks in advance.

for now it only helps to disable the titles and wait for a fix. send email to the author to fix it - if he is willing to do so for the next 4 majors of firefox. showcase is rather old and based on jar package instead jetpack, i dont think it will survive after v56.

Yep, I sent an email to the author, but no answer until now. And with version 57 of Firefox and only webextensions, I know that most of my useful extensions will end. So I think I'll stay on version 52, latest with all extensions running, or at least check with Pale Moon or WaterFox.

After making the suggested donation, I sent an email to extension author on 8 may 2017:
Hello Josep --

I just upgraded Firefox on my two windoze 7 laptops to version 53.0.2.

Now long thumbnail titles in the Showcase window extend past the bounds of the thumbnail, overwriting the close buttons and the text of the titles to the right. This frequently makes all but the first title in each row difficult to read. (see attached screen shot)

I also noticed that the thumbnail widths are being expanded to the size of the page title (see the second screen shot). I suspect this is the root cause of the problem.

I hope this is something that's going to be easy to fix. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Unfortunately, I have not received a reply from Mr. Josep, and Showcase continues to be broken.

Thanks for the warning about the upcoming end of compatibility. I guess I know now when I will stop upgrading Firefox.
