[Ext] Status-4-Evar 2017.03.19.12bI updated Firefox to Version 55.0 (32 bit) today.
Issues: 1) Progress Meter is not working in the location bar. I made sure I closed and opened Firefox again, I mean a second time after it restarted after it was updated from 54.xx to 55.0. FYI, I have the 'Fill' option selected for the Progress Meter (location bar). 2) The Status Bar shows up alright. However, the Add-ons I had added to it have disappeared. FYI, I had added Adblock Plus and Video Downloadhelper to the status bar. I went into Firefox's 'Customize' option and tried to add them back (drag and drop) to the status bar. Apparently Firefox wouldn't let me add them back to the status bar. The drag and drop did not work. 3) Link details are not being displayed when I hover over links in a page. FYI, I have the 'pop-up' option set for links. 4) Status Text is not being displayed. FYI, I have the Status Text added right next to the '+' sign at the top, the one that is used to open a new tab. Instead of displaying the actual Status Text, it now displays just the text 'Status Text'. I mean, it literally says 'Status Text' where it usually used to display the progress details of the page. Updated to FF 55 (64 bit) today. Same issue as described above - no progress meter and the Status Text just shows up as text ...
The icon is not active either; I have to go to preferences inside of Tools>Add-ons to get to S-4-E; if I try to get the progress bar to show up, once I exit, it is gone from view ... Sivabhaskar and pcbjr: the latest beta version takes care of that: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addo ... sions/beta
Not here ... :~( The new beta release fixed buttons not showing previously (since latest FF update) for me. Thank you for all your work.
Did the beta and still no progress meter and the Status Text just shows up as text ...
Any ideas? I've been having the same problem since updating to FF55. The status bar is there but blank. Nothing shows up.
Frankly, at this point, I wonder if anyone even cares ... :~( What a waste ... Same problems here. Let's hope that this great add-on is not abandoned.
AFAIK: WebExtensions will not have an API that will allow modifying the browser chrome. That would, I assume, include adding new toolbars like this add-on does.

So much for "Internet for people" FF 55 has killed everything I need to see and do ...
Safari, here I come ... Also not working with FF55.
Such a shame that Mozilla is killing of the very thing that made me a user - CUSTOMISATION Oh well PaleMoon here I come
Hi everyone, hi Bluefang, I've just updated to FF 55.0.2 (64 bits) from FF 54.0.1 and this beta (2017.03.19.12b) makes my status bar to work again but even if the download button is there and works fine as expected, its main icon is not visible (the arrow), only the small progress bar is visible over the button during downloading. Btw, I'm sad to see what could become FF after the v57 and the v59esr releases and the killing of what made FF so special..... So I thank you for your work ![]()
Updated to 55.0.2 64bit here, and it's working! Thanks Mozilla, and Johan_et_Pirlouit for the heads-up. Return to Extension/Theme Releases Who is onlineUsers browsing this forum: No registered users and 3 guests |
