I found that there is a email alarm function in sunbird. But I wonder how it works? Anyone can tell?

It doesn't work in Sunbird or in the calendar extension for Firefox, but it does work in the calendar extension for Thunderbird (and the suite, I think).

Works for all the extensions, as far as I know. (running Linux).

Sunbird doesn't as yet. It is on the to-do list.

No, it doesn't. The situation is exactly as I stated it.

What's the difference between Calendar and Sunbird?
Calendar is the calendar extension for Mozilla products such as Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird. Sunbird is the standalone form of the same application. Both use the same base code so their functionality is the same and they share the same bugs and bug fixes. A couple features currently depend on the underlying product: Open URL works with Mozilla and Firefox. Email alarm works with Mozilla and Thunderbird.
