In case you are not joking:
I have used FF since 2007 (2.0.0.9) until this year when it became very slow on startup. I did all the usual things to diagnose the 'problem' but gave up.
Someone suggested Pale Moon and I have been using it since. I set it up to look like my old FF and it's a lot quicker at startup.
I know this forum is about Firefox so if this post shouldn't be here then please delete it.
BTW I hate Chrome!

I know that you are happy with PaleMoon but I'm curious... when you say a very slow startup of Firefox... how much time did it take to get it loaded? ... and what were the things that you tried?

Plus.... I think that pcdoctor01 was praising Firefox...though that post didn't detail that out.
As you can see she's (The CAT) always alert and on the prowl for Meoware !!

FF took 32 secs.
PM now takes 5 secs.
My details were posted in several posts in the following thread after DanRaisch asked for more info.
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3024655
It looked like the culprits were Auto-Sort Bookmarks (not vitally needed!) and Avast Online Security but FF still took 14 secs.

EDIT: Btw, what is PMS?

It could stand for syndrome, but that's just a guess.

Shouldn't this be in third party builds?

This Pale Moon discussion was split from a different thread.

I use 64-bit Pale Moon on Linux, and I am happy with it. I found Firefox was consuming too many system resources. And I never liked Australis.

I would add that contrary to some posts in other threads, PM does support HTML5 and Media Source Extensions, but at the same time they are maintaining support of XUL and NPAPI, which is one of the reasons I tried out Pale Moon in the first place. People will prefer whichever browser they will, but it really is unfair — in my humble opinion — to characterize PM as an out-of-date FF.

You can read the release notes for yourself:

Possibly, but this is not a support forum for Palemoon. They have their own and if this thread is to be in support of PM it should be taking place there, not here.
