Site Doesn't Display & YT Sluggish

Noticed a few other sites that won't render (very few but enough to make me curious).
Disabled all relevant plugins.

Youtube extremely sluggish:
Takes long time to render pages. Usually video starts but immediately restarts while page finally renders.

Pristine Win 7 Pro 32bit - SM 2.49.3 (meaning to upgrade but haven't had the time).

That site displays here in SM 2.49.4.

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Well, go figure.... it's loading now. Before, when it showed only a blank page, 4 other browsers rendered it correctly.

YT is still 'flakey'. However, it could very well be YT is the culprit. Or they just don't get along so splendidly?
Do I smell a UA hack coming? Any ideas? I never looked into it because never used SM for YT before.
