A workaround is to create a context menu on links to open them in a different browser, you can do this with Open With extension. Of course, if you can live with having to right-click links in Mail...

I've just made a small extension that will open links from SeaMonkey Mail in a different browser so you can try it out: Standalone SeaMonkey Mail.

Windows 10 does not recognise the extension.

I tried dragging the file from Windows Explorer to a Firefox browser address line and the system refused. Do I need the full path?

Chrome is my default browser.

I love SeaMonkey mail but intensely dislike the SeaMonkey browser.

Help please.

(Please treat me as a totally non-techie. My first computer was one of Babbage's spares and I'm still trying to catch up.)

Windows 10 has nothing to do with the extension.

This is a SeaMonkey extension so obviously it will not install in Firefox. You have to open SeaMonkey and install it in the Add-ons Manager (under the Tools menu). Or, when you are on the extension page on the add-ons site just click "+Add to SeaMonkey" and confirm - you need to do it from the SeaMonkey browser.

Thank you

Installed. Mail running alone (having closed the Seamonkey browser window). I cannot see where to set the default browser to Chrome.

I have one final question if I may please.

I have always had problems with odd messages coming up as "... thinks this message is spam" in Thunderbird, but in Seamonkey it's suddenly rife, even from addresses in my personal address book.

Any suggestions please?
