I have installed version 68.2.2 (32-bitI because I was forced to. The older versions had some good add-ons & I can't remember their names but when I try to access the old installation on another disk, I am refused access by the current one.address lists & add-ons as well. Is there any safe method of that one?

Most addons do not work with 68+. You will have to go to the addon page for 68+ and look for addons that say they work with 68+, or you will have to go back to 60.9.1.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Go_back_to_an ... hunderbird . It doesn't delete your profile when uninstalling. Note the "Before you do anything turn off the automatic Software Update feature in Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Update." comment. You also want to avoid using "help -> about Thunderbird" as that causes it to check for updates. Not worth the risk of it possibly updating you as a side effect, for example if it found a mandatory security update.

Try a different browser. I verified I could download it using Firefox 70.0.1 and Vivaldi 2.9.1719.3 (a modified version of Chrome). If you have a download manager add-on I suggest you disable it.

Help -> about Thunderbird mentions whether its 32-bit or 64-bit. Both will work with a 64-bit version of Windows.

See https://github.com/cleidigh/ThunderKdB/ ... statistics .

If you search for add-ons using tools -> add-ons it tries to only show you only compatible add-ons. However, its buggy. I submitted a bug report about that.
