I frequently download large files from hosts like
https://1fichier.com/
My problem is that for a few weeks (yes, I should have posted about it earlier...) I had to use Edge for that because FF is blocking my downloads for safety reasons. I click on "allow the download" but it just doesn't.
I don't like to use Edge, but I'm afraid I have no choice...

What is the full text of whatever error message you are seeing that refers to "safety reasons"?
Does the same thing appear if you launch the browser under Mozilla Trouble Shooting Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/di ... shoot-mode

(No idea what that file is...) 1fichier.
(Dang, wasn't paying attention to http/https - and now they want a 59 wait, heh.)

Anyhow, in SeaMonkey, JavaScript disabled, clicking the download link initiated the download without issue.

If FF is (now) blocking http: downloads from https: sites (which 1fichier looks to be), then I'd say you have to complain to FF (as a start). (Again, not sure if the download itself was http or https, & if it was https, then maybe it is something else on the FF end.)
Fire 750, bring back 250.
