Deleted extensions not completly removed

I have deleted all search engines and extensions I do not use.
But a scan of the system still reveals that lots are installed.
And they where set to "enabled" even after I deleted them.
I can set them to "disabled" but I can not get rid of them.
No data in "about:config" or in the profile folder either.
Where are these extension data stored, and how do I clean up.

Bundled search engine extensions are combined with other code into a single file and can't be physically removed without modifying that program file. Why do you want to physically remove them?

You can use a Policy file (policies.json) to instruct Firefox to uninstall the search engine extensions at startup, which makes them more invisible, but they will not be physically removed from Firefox.
