Something has happened in recent updates to either Firefox or Twitch. It is no longer possible to get video with sound. If the video stream is playing, sound is muted. If the sound is unmuted, the video stops. If the video is restarted, the sound it remuted. Makes no sense. Who wants to watch videos with no sound? Why would this be happening?

No such problem here using Firefox 75 under Win 10. Try menu path Tools->Options->Performance section->uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available."

I dunno why that would have anything to do with it. But even after trying, no it made no difference.

Where can I find a list of any new settings that were added/changed in the last few months releases? There are just too many to trial-and-error through the whole set.

OK, I gave up trying to figure out which one setting might be the problem and did a "reset" to default. Then put all the changes I was using into user.js and so far have not had the problem recur. Maybe something in the config got scrambled in a way that is simply not valid?

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager
and

Thanks for your reply DanRaisch, in safe mode works fine, do you think it happens because of my Add-ons??

Btw the twitch.tv site has been having issues for many users in web browsers in the last half day sometime after Twitch did some maintenance.
