Hi, before I had it such that the close tab button that's on the tab wouldn't show unless I hovered over the actual close tab button. Now it shows if I simply hover anywhere on the tab. I'd like it revert to how it was before. Not sure what has changed. I think I was using the same code:

.tabbrowser-tab:not([pinned]) .tab-close-button {display: none !important;}
.tabbrowser-tab:not([pinned]):hover .tab-close-button {display: -moz-box !important;}

If you use display:none or visibility:collapse, then there's no button to hover, it takes up zero space.

Were you using visibility:hidden / visibility:visible ? That preserves empty space, but doesn't gain any benefit in reclaimed space.

Note that you can middle-click a tab to close this tab. ... mmon-tasks

Pretty sure I wasn't using any visibility code. I DO actually want the close button. It's just that before, for some reason, the close button on the tab would only show if I mouse overed it. Now it show whenever I move the mouse over any pixel on the tab. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have it back again.
