Is there a new version of Fireshot that works with Firefox 40.0.3 that is not Fireshot Pro?

go firefox 55 and you have a built-in screnshot tool.
or go fireshot homepage and read about compatibility.
there is nothing to do for you from us.

The Firefox 40.0.3 is old and vulnerable as it came out back on August 27, 2015 and is vulnerable due to not having many critical security fixes since https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox/

There are a variety of screenshot extensions at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?q=screenshot that you can use in current Firefox releases.
