The hundred or so persistent cookies I had before the update have been erased!
Does anyone know if they are stored somewhere in Firefox or anyway I can get them back?
This will cause me days of work and effort if I can not retrieve them.
Thanks.

I guess what I am asking is how can restore cookies exceptions from a previous profile?
Copying cookies.sqlite does NOT do it.

that should not happen - and cookies.sqlite is the only solution. look for an older backup. or have you sync enabled?

Was FF closed prior to copying the cookies.sqlite file?
Are cookie exceptions stored in cookies.sqlite?
In your backup, other then cookies.sqlite, were there other cookies.sqlite.* files; like, cookies.sqlite-wal & cookies.sqlite-shm?
