It is an issue with the site. These POPULAR browsers do not work.

  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • IE11

You need someone to debug the site; that is unlikely to happen here since the site is quite complex. Also this is Firefox support. It is not website support.

The *.mozillaZine.org site is independent and not a part of nor run by Mozilla and has been around for some six years before Mozilla got their own support site going at support.mozilla.org

Besides Mozilla does not really have a team that spends time each day doing support on forums and such.

Thank you. I actually already tried their site but nobody seems to know either. Seems like I am done for.

Only looked for a moment & there doesn't seem to be much, but maybe something here, http://www.123flashchat.net/?

Failing that, perhaps post the code that does the actual "playing" & maybe someone might see something in there that they recognize isn't compatible with FF?

Code: Select all
Cannot play media. No decoders for requested formats: audio/mpeg; codecs=MP3, audio/mpeg; codecs=MP3, audio/mpeg; codecs=MP3, audio/mpeg; codecs=MP3  123flashchat.html

(Not sure if that is something specific to me, running on XP?)

Send sound, then the "play" icon in that dialog that opened.
I had Error Console open & that turned up. I suppose it was related. (And as I said, it may have to do with XP on my end.)

Same as what's here, viewtopic.php?p=14796147#p14796147.
Send Sound, then Say Hello, I think it was.

analyze the mp3 file - which codec is used, how many bits and channels? windows is not able to play mp3 in rare cases with a very limited codec, eg 11khz mono, 64kbp/s

I tried with different mp3 files and none of them work. The problem is that I get no errors on the console which would help pinpoint the culprit.
