This feature was available in Netscape 4.8, but nowhere since then.

Saving Multiple Messages as One Text File

When I try to save multiple messages as Save As in Mozilla, the function does not even respond with an error message - nothing!

It's a very valuable time-saving feature, and I miss it sorely.

Can this be built into Mozilla and ALL new mail clients? It is really great!

It takes in Yahoo-type junk at the bottom of each message, but that can be globally deleted with any text editor if you ever have to do that.

Searching is easy using any text editor.

I used to organize my files in subdirectories under Inbox for each person or subject; then within by date, and I was able to file multiple messages either weekly (if heavy) or monthly - whatever.

If more peoplel knew about the availability of this capability, I think they would love it!
I'm a senior without technical knowledge.

I've been using Mozilla. I downloaded Thunderbird but haven't used it. I use Mozilla because it gives me extra browser capability.

I've even been thinking of going back to Netscape 4.8 but its browser won't be compatible everywhere.

Duplicate post in the wrong forum. Locking. You were already answered here even though you dragged up a topic from 2003
