Hi,

I'm using Mozilla-Mail and now Thunderbird for some quite now as an IMAP client.
I noticed that downloading files to my local disk from an attachment to an email takes very long.

The IMAP server is in my local area network and since the mail is already downloaded there it should get to my system with 100mbit speed when I'm downloading the attachments of an email.

Instead it takes about 30 seconds to download a 1 MB file from the attachment.

Is there some limitation? Why? How can I turn it off? Is this a bug?

Same problem here. Also large html messages with pictures take very long to display. Using the latest 0305 build
