>> What update problem(s) "might" happen to Windows 64 bit users (which I am)? It looks like updating won't work for this release and for all Windows users. It will only run on SSE2 capable CPUs and because of this the update urls changed during the last releases. So just pick up the full installer from https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/seamonk ... ases/2.46/The website is not yet updated. FRG

f, Should the full installer just be allowed to overlay the existing installation? Thanks! [EDITED TO ADD] The link you provided doesn't work for me (Error 404 - not found).

>> f, Should the full installer just be allowed to overlay the existing installation? Yes. I just upgraded a 2.33.1 in a test vm yesterday with 2.47 and do not expect problems. But be aware that your profile will be upgraded during first start. So if something goes wrong and/or you might want to go back please back it up before. 2.40 and a 2.46 upgraded profile do not like each other. >> The link you provided doesn't work for me (Error 404 - not found). Was missing a trailing slash. Fixed. The wip web page also has the downloads: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.46Release notes are still being prepared so stay tuned. Edit: a Ctrl-R refreshed the web page and it now shows 2.46. FRG

I cloned my Hard Drive and installed 2.46 over 2.40. Seems to work OK However, Some of the Windows, Example "Preferences" are much wider than they were in 2.40. "Preferences" extend all the way to the right side of the Screen. Can I modify these back to the 2.40 Size?

As in Edit | Preferences? (If so, I'm not seeing that. And if so, maybe some extension is affecting...?)

Yes Edit:Preferences. I will reload 2.46 and experiment some more. I did have to re-run Theme Font and Size Changer after loading 2.46. Will do some more testing.
Edit: Disabling Add ons No Change. Not really a problem, just some wider windows under Edit/Preferences. Other Displays, Tools, Bookmarks etc. are not affected.

rsx11m modified the preferences dialog. It should resize differently now. Previously Lightning options were cut off initially.
I would say its a feature not a bug but if you think different please open a bug and provide screen shots.

2.46 seems to enlarge default fonts/zoom around 10%, no problem as tinkering with the about:config settings on this thread viewtopic.php?f=40&t=2803433 set things straight. @Thanks

For anyone using old themes (Pinball is still the best!) and using 'previous session' on startup, I was getting a blank screen and an error in the JS console. I had to copy \chrome\toolkit\skin\classic\mozapps\places out of omni.ja into my theme's mozapps\ folder. That fixed the problem (if on Windows, 7-zip won't open omni-ja, you'll have to get something like WinRAR). After a quick spin everything else seems okay. Thanks to everyone involved for all the work in getting the build out .

It's a Christmas miracle! Updated 2 W/10 computers and so far no issues. Installed Lighting 5.1b1 beta and it's working. Wonder if Chase bank will let me back in with the newly updated SeaMonkey.....

Using 2.46 Candidate 9, I still get a warning on Chase.com. However, I can still log in and use the site without issues.
