Any speculation as to what might be the implication of the SeaMonkey forums going dark i.e. no new postings lately?

Well, maybe there aren't many problems with the present release.

+1. Not much going on. Mozilla imho tries to bury Seamonkey. It's not present on any of the front or back pages. So you need to know where to look and this means not many new users. And with the current distributon problems because of Mozilla switching to a cloud based distribution scheme no new releases for now either until the problems are sorted out.

But it's still actively maintained so stay tuned:)

Not just SeaMonkey; Thunderbird suffered the same fate and disappeared from many important mozilla.org pages, thus only insiders (or those who Google for it - they still show up on top of the list, with SeaMonkey pointing to its own home page) will directly find them. That's obviously not helping for either getting potential new users to actually download and use it, but also to find any support that may be around.

Having said that, the MozillaZine link on http://www.seamonkey-project.org/community hasn't moved (fairly far down, but present). Thus, it still should be the same effort to find the forums here as before.
