yesterday i unchecked the button in prefs that said to hide tabs if only one window was open. then there appeared a little button on the bar, and when i wanted to open a new tab, it would do that .... open a blank one, then i clicked any link in favs or whatever, and it opened in that tab. real sweet.

today it's gone. checked the setting, and it's still as i left it. restarted, etc. what's up with that?

thanks,
larry

Did you change skins? Are you talking about the little New Tab button on the left of the tab bar?

yep, i'm a moz-newbie for sure! :-)

when you mentioned "tab bar" it occurred to me that mozilla might have a setting to "view" the tab bar. duh!

thanks for the help.

lovin' mozilla.
my son and i are thinking about leaving xp and going with mandrake now.

Amen !
On Mandrake you can try also Open Office (i believe is installed default). Let the revolution begins !
