Hi all,
There are bugs which are describing problems with "mach-o" builds. I guess this is the codename for a new netscape release (since mach-V was Netscape 6.5 which became 7.0 when I remember things correctly)
Sooo, does somebody know to which Netscape version this refers? 7.01? 7.1?

have a nice day
thomas

You are wrong :) mach o builds are actually unix backend builds for MacOS X, they are used for Chimera for example.

Shadow3333 is right. Mach-O is one of the two runtime models supported by Mac OS X (the other being CFM, or Code Fragment Manager). Apple Developer Connection has the gory technical details if you're interested.

When referred to in the context of Mozilla, Mach-O usually refers to FizzillaMach, the Mac OS X port of Mozilla that uses a UNIX backend and a Carbon frontend. That's just one of the ports to Mac OS X though (there's various other ways to go about it).

Something like that, anyway. I'm not an expert on Mac software development.

Your MachV stuff sounds about right. Since you asked, 7.01's codename is Blackbird and the version after that (7.1, 7.5, or whatever they call it) is Buffy.
