Todays SeaMonkey status meeting just wrapped up. The last item says:
EOL date for SeaMonkey 1.1?
  • The plans for Gecko 1.8 are rather murky at the moment. KaiRo will probably try to get a clearer view when a 1.8.1.24 will be prepared possibly in December.

While the people working on SeaMonkey may still be uncertain about SM 1.1.x, Secunia seems to have already decided that SM 1.1 is End-of-Life. Secunia just gave me a pop-up to let me know my machine is insecure, and lists SM 1.1.18 as the cause.

Actually, to be fair to Secunia, it's just how they view things. As far as they're concerned, if any version of an application with even minor insecurities has been superceded by a newer version, then the old version is considered insecure, regardless of whether the newer version is actually more secure or not.

But I thought it funny getting the warning while reading this thread.
