Earlybird won't install on Windows 10 (build 10166)

I've repeatedly had problems with Thunderbird on Windows 10 lately, on all channels, but when I try to install the latest nightly, after the .exe file is done unpacking, I get an "Access denied - 7-Zip" error message, and of course, install won't proceed.

I tried a .zip version of the same software, and once unzipped, you simply can't launch the executable, which, incidentally, has a system icon instead of the little egg-about-to-hatch regular icon.

Am I missing something, or is this a known issue?

No problems here to install Daily on build 10166. It seems you have not all rights on the directories you want to install it. Have you tried to install through right click and "Run as administrator"?
