Thunderbird beta 1 is out for a couple of days now, but only us-en locale? Is there is reason for this?
Are locales still going to be released for beta in the future?

Do the problems with localized Firefox 24 beta 1 builds have something to do with this TB locales delay?

Thunderbird 24.0b1 on Windows is only available in US English. This will be resolved in the next beta update.

It is only the Windows version that is in one language.
You can install the US English version and than add the your desired language from the Linux or Mac versions. For instance from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/r ... -i686/xpi/

Then set "general.useragent.locale" to your language and restart Thunderbird.
Or use the addon "Quick Locale Switcher" from https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/a ... on-1.7.8.3 (use the 2012 version, the 2013 versions have adware)
