I have made another Linux build of thunderbird with these things included:

o GTK2
o xft2/fontconfig
o spellchecker

glibc 2.3 is needed to run the binary.

These builds uses the new toolkit, meaning the one Phoenix uses. The new artwork is in there too:-)

Get it from:

How did you build it without the spellchecker causing a build failure? Perhaps you can tell us what you do when you move the spellcheck directory into the extensions directory, as there is already a directory with that name as well as a few files.

rm -rf extensions/spellcheck

It's as simple as that.

Bah. Ok, now I can build with the spellchecker but I have a problem with the customize toolbar function. Is there some patch that has to be applied to get this to work? Andre's build is working in that regard, so I'm not sure what is going on with mine.

Still cannot click on links. Even if I have Firebird open or Mozilla open, when clicking on a link neither browser will display the web page.

Nor can I get new Themes for it. Course can't even pick a font for it. Hope these get fixed soon.

Using SuSE 8.2 Linux.
