Hello dear friends,
While awaiting for the v91 I would like to share my thoughts with you.
I am a heavy TB user, 4 accounts, sending and receiving over 150 mails per day.
However this copying from Excel is causing me so many troubles. When I paste tables, there are no borders and have to manually apply it. I really envy the use of Outlook, to pastes so nice from Excel tables.

Why is it so difficult to implement that to TB? Anyone with an idea when pasting the border should be enabled? Anyone with a good connection to Mozilla to find out whether there are any plans to implement this?
Thank you so much

https://developer.thunderbird.net/planning/roadmap is the current roadmap.

They know the editor needs a lot of rework. Frequently the issue is not how much work implementing something takes, its a question of how important the use case is and are there easy workarounds.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/211 ... ail-client has several suggestions, including : The fastest way to copy excel tables as they are, in Thunderbird is to first copy the table to Word, and then recopy and paste within html email. Colors, lines, format are kept as they are. It also mentions the problem doesn't occur when pasting from LibreOffice/OpenOffice Calc.

https://superuser.com/questions/176318/ ... n-html-tab has several potential ways to export part of a spreadsheet as clean HTML.

Thank you so much. That copying to Word first seems to save a bit
