In the e-mail viewer pane (sorry if I'm not using the right terminology), i./e., where one views the actual header and body of a particular message, is there an option or an extension to display and manage the star state visually of the current message without having to use the menu or by locating the corresponding message in the list? It would be so much more convenient to see the star within the message pane and be able to toggle it there, too.

A message may be "Starred" by pressing the "S" key while viewing the message or while it is selected in the message list. This is a toggle. Press the "S" to Star the message, press the "S" again to remove the star.

As far as I can find, there is no extension or built in function to display the "Star" status in the message display, only in the list pane.
