I recently received a mozilla security update link from US CERT that said Mozilla released a new version of Firefox 17 ESR, version 17.0.6 that according to its ftp directory was released on May 9:
Firefox Setup 17.0.6esr.exe 09-May-2013 14:50 19M

However I am running the latest nightly build of Firefox 17 ESR which according to its ftp directory was released on May 5:
firefox-17.0.5esrpre.en-US.win32.installer.exe 05-May-2013 07:38 19M

My question is because I am using an earlier version (if that's correct) of Firefox 17 ESR nightly am I subject to any of the security vulnerabilities described? Wouldn't Mozilla update the nightly as well, or is it just that the nightly was already updated?

Also if anyone knows how I can receive these security update emails from Mozilla directly.

If you are using something marked 17.0.5 then you are not up to date. I am surprised that there is even an ESR nightly. It would be fairly pointless since there isn't changes to it outside of security updates.
