[note: this time, I'm not imagining it, promise.]

I am using:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030411 Phoenix/0.5+

the image on this page:

http://english.aljazeera.net/topics/art ... ent_id=258

will not load, whereas it loads in IE. This is true for all their articles, actually.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Btw, other than, I've found this build to be very solid. And solve several previous layout problems that I had with 3/19.

p.s. pls no flames about al jazeera, i'm reading it to get the other point of view.

Semi-confirmed. Some images on the page load for me, others do not.

In fact, all the images on the page load for me except the inset story picture,
http://english.aljazeera.net/mritems/images/2003/4/17/1_2752_1_6.jpg. However, if I right click on the broken image and select "View Image" then I see the image just fine. When I back up and refresh the page you pointed out the image is still broken. Very strange.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030411 Phoenix/0.5+

They all loaded with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030416 Firebird/0.5+

(I changed Phoenix to 'Firebird' in about:config)

Well that's not fair, is it? You Linux users get later builds, we're stuck with the build of the 11th.

I'm observing the same behavior, you just described it better.

I'm getting the same problem with both Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030411 Phoenix/0.5+ and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030408

However, it seems to be a page error rather than Mozilla error. I took a look at the source and this is just wrong:

<input id="date1" type="hidden" value="18/04/2003" xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" xmlns:UDF="http://mycompany.com/mynamespace"><input id="dateTime" type="hidden" value="5 :54AM" xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" xmlns:UDF="http://mycompany.com/mynamespace"><input id="articalText" type="hidden" value="<P class=MsoBodyText style=&MARGIN:0 in0 in0 pt&><FONT face=Arial size=2>The head of President George W. Bush’s cultural advisory committee stepped down this week in protest over the United States failure to stop the looting of Baghdad’s National museum, according to a letter released Thursday.</FONT></P>

there's no value for the "value" parameter of the "articalTex" input type, and it isn't closed properly, so that might be the problem. Because of that, a huge chunk of the code was ignored or rendered improperly.

Well, evidently there has been some improvement. The bug describes the articles not loading at all, which is what i experience with the 3/19 build. But with the 4/11 build, the articles load, but not the main image. Actually, the drudgereport.com also had layout problem with the earlier build, that also seems to have been fixed.
It just gets better and better.
