EDIT: Ok, worked after returning to tab.

The 4th of October build? Gosh, that arrived early!

A look at the previous posts in this forum would have revealed the ISO date formatting convention of yyyy-mm-dd. Please use it.

Ok, I have TBE installed and once I click a link from another application whilst browser is minimised, it pops back up to the left of the screen in a tiny window.

Can you drag the icon from the location bar to the bookmark bar or sidepanel and place it there, or is that still broken in 4/10?

It's still broken.
Please stop asking every day and add yourself to the Cc: list of bug 199328 to be noticed when it's fixed.
Or if you don't want to open a bugzilla account, monitor this thread.

First new build I've installed to test in a while. I see that several of the bookmark bugs have been fixed in this build, but not the import/export function. Simply pasting my bookmarks.htm file back in the new profile solves the issue. I only use the TBE, and it seems to work fine also. It has been updated to allow the tab auto-reload feature to work again.

Is it just my imagination, or is the type-ahead find automatically enabled again?

Does it appear to be a fairly stable build?

I ask because I've had my previous build (apr 1) crash on me quite a few times.

I had same problem with April 1. So far April 10 has not crashed for me. But it doesn't feel any different from April 9 (which wasn't bad).

EDIT: Actually April 9 feels a little faster and smoother to me than April 10, so I've gone back.

I hope this one works better. If not, I'm going all the way back to my Mar 4 install and likely staying there for some time.

I installed this build with a new profile, copied my old plugins folder and bookmarks, and reinstalled TBE. So far, absolutely no crashes. It is much more stable than the earlier April builds. My config:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030410 Phoenix/0.5+
