I have loaded and tried this build of Phoenix. In fact, that is what I am using right now. It is generally a solid build. However, I have found that several extensions for Phoenix no longer work properly with this build. One such extension is Preference ToolBar. Another is Quick Prefs. I don't know if this has to do with the Phoenix code itself or just with the Mac build. I will note however, that the creator of Preferences Toolbar has stated on his site that versions of Phoenix beyond the 0.5 release will not be supported. I sincerely hope he will change his mind since Phoenix is to become the default Mozilla browser.

Anyway. I have been a longtime Mozilla user. Since the new roadmap was announced I decided that I needed to familiarize myself with the "future" of Mozilla. I must admit, that while there are definitely some bugs, and some missing features, I am most pleasantly surprised.

Can someone using a MacOS X build of Phoenix confirm the behaviour explained in this bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201087 ?

I get something like that, when I click on the webpage behind the dialog I can still see the options, but it ignores any more clicks. The menu options are greyed out as decribed. I can't get the prefs box to go away at all from here. All I can do it quit Px and restart it.

Maybe its because I have an older version of MacOS X its a little different? I'm using OS X 10.1.5.

Apparently what I misconstrued as Preferences Toolbar not working, in fact, has to do with this bug. If I close all windows in Phoenix, I can access preferences and set Preferences Toolbar to work as I want. As soon as a Window is opened the preferences option is once again grayed out.

What you're seeing Jim is another bug. When all Phoenix windows are closed (before you quit the app), the *Communicator* menubar is revealed.
