Since a few days, after having the browser open for a few hours, everything becomes sluggish (typing here goes in bursts where every now & then a couple of typed words pop up in between stalls, and memory usage is extremely high. Browsing becomes unbearable and only a browser close & restart fixes it.

Old news here. This is what I described and was chided for a couple weeks ago.

Weird thing is, when I open the Windows Task Manager, I see no excessive CPU usage for any of the countless firefox.exe processes, but the memory is creeping up for every hour you have the browser open, even when, after having it open for 8 hours, only 1 tab is open, it takes gigabytes of memory and only increases, never decreases.

I'm seeing the same thing with sluggishness. Not a lot of CPU nor memory usage. I don't have a lot of extensions running but they could be a cause.

Who knows? Have they done any basic trouble shooting?

Same thing but only with Netflix. I haven't been visiting other media sites, could be video related.
