Reason for not mentioning an extension on mozdev.org?

Talk about add-ons and extension development.

Some fine extensions (preferences toolbar, tabbrowser extension etc.) are not added as a project to the mozdev.org site. I wonder if the authors have a reason for that. Would not having a page there that at least points to the homepage of the extension be useful for people looking for the extension and get more people using it? Personally I never can remember where to find those extensions when they are not on mozdev.

The same probably goes for themes - I think it would be really great to have one central registry of all the extensions and themes in existance.

What it soulds like the Mozilla people need is a site like Phoenix Help. A centralized site that links to most if not all of the themes and extentions for Mozilla.

I second that, bdeonline. With Phoenix I can go to Phoenix Help and find *all* the extensions and themes (it's even in the bookmarks by default), while with Mozilla I find some themes at themes.mozdev.org and others at deskmod.com, and while most of the extensions are found at mozdev, some are not, like the Preferences Toolbar and my own Home Button (I didn't want to register at mozdev for such a small extension). There should definitely be a similar site for Mozilla. Maybe someone will make it?
Get the Home Button.

I am (sort-of) working on what you are looking for;
Extension-Room.

Although not online yet (just general info), It plans to be an "Extension portal". But unlike Pheonix help (which I love), it will also provide user-feedback and Version number/ Moz build compatibility charts, so you'll never get an extension that screws your Moz. again.

If you have any suggestions for it, please feedback on the page, or in this thread.

Since themes.mozdev.org already exists, I find no need to add themes to Extension-Room.
If you feel themes.mozdev is not updated, or is lacking Themes for mozilla that you can find else-where, I suggest you e-mail Chris, or here in the forums, and tell him which themes are not listed/missing.

Cheers! Here's to helping the Mozilla/Phx/gecko browsers Community to grow!
