I tried to use my online banking site and it said I needed to install Java plugin. I followed the instructions and installed it. When I tried to use the site again it came up with

Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: MainApplet.class

Can anyone tell me what I need to do please?

Thanks

Sounds like an error on the website itself. Have you tried visiting the site in another browser?

yes I used to use Internet Explorer 6 all the time and it is still working with that. Should I have installed the Java plugin to a specific directory or configure it in any particular way?

they are 2 type of Java , one is ORIGINAL Java from Sun with multi-platform and one is buggy JVM from M$ with only Monopoly flatform itself :(

so sad that M$ can handle java original, but Sun is not vice versa :(
Please forgive me for my poor English
