Is there a way yet to make the browser buttons/address bar appear on the same line as "File, Edit View, Go, etc..."?

View > Toolbars > Customize... and then drag and drop. Easy. :-)

View -> Toolbars -> Customize
Drag and drop to your heart's content.

You just type faster. But I've probably said it more times than you have ;-)

I'm using linux...

so I did that. dragged all the buttons to the same bar as the File, Edit, View, etc... menu options. now i have this really neat slick small thin bar with all my icons and even my addressbar. how do I get rid of the bar that used to carry the address bar?

hehe. yeah getting rid of the other ones tricks people. :)

if you're looking to further minimize everything, you might check out my sig link. it tells you how to hide some of the menu items and how to get rid of the text on your btf (bookmarks toolbar folder) so that when you see it on your bars, it's icons only. i have a picture of what my phoenix menu looks like, as well, so you can see what my code does.

phoenix help also has some themes that have very small icons that shrink the bars very nicely. the one on my site is mostly Minimalist. :) good luck!

wow.. bookmarks with only icons? I don't think I can handle that. I hardly remember what I even have in my bookmarks folder. I add them in and then forget I placed them there, so I end up typing everything in the URL bar anyway.

the sites on my bar mostly have their own favicons, like mozillazone, yahoo, my tips site, and phoenix help. :) i really like favicons for that reason, though my bf uses the text on his. he has two bars though. :shock: :P maybe i should disown him... hehe.

Yeah thats a problem. A lot of sites I bookmark at work are internal ones without favicons. Shame because its at work where I most need to conserve screen space (1600x1200 at home).

Get Tabbed Browsing Extensions, which allows you to set the bookmark icon yourself.
